The Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin popularly known as Charite is one of Europe's biggest university hospitals. Charité proudly lays claim to more than half of all German Nobel Prize winners in Physiology or Medicine, including Emil von Behring, Robert Koch, and Paul Ehrlich. There are over 100 different departments that cover various aspects of human medicine and the entire set-up works out of four state-of-the-art campuses. At Charite, the six main research areas are - neuroscience, oncology, regenerative therapies, cardiology, immunology, and genetics. There are currently over 3,700 researchers working on over 1,000 projects.
