Anne Lyons Memorial Travel Scholarship (Postgraduate)

Eligibility requirements

This scholarship is open to applicants who meet all of the following criteria:

  • Postgraduate coursework students
  • In their final year of study
  • Plan to undertake overseas study in an area of social justice:
  1. For international students – 6 months at one of ACU’s Australian campuses returning to their home country at completion of the six months study.

QIEC Super Scholarship

Eligibility requirements

This scholarship is open to applicants who meet all of the following criteria:

  • Have not previously received this scholarship
  • Studying at the Brisbane campus
  • Enrolled in the Faculty of Education and Arts
  • Have successfully completed at least one practicum placement
  • Living 100km from their placement

The following documents must be submitted with the application:

  • A written statement of approximately 400 words outlining:
  1. the success of the previously completed practicum placement (200 words);
  2. how a rural, regional or remote school could benefit the applicant’s learning and practice as a future teacher (200 words).
  • Academic transcript
  • A copy of previous practicum experience report
  • Evidence of enrolment / acceptance for a four week or longer practicum placement in a rural, regional or remote area based in Queensland consistent with QIEC Super’s business reach (grid)
  • Evidence of residence (at least 100km from placement)

ACU Canberra Rural Placement Scholarships

This scholarship is open to applicants who meet all of the following criteria:

  • Studying at the Canberra campus
  • Undertaking a rural or regional placement
  • Successfully completed a previous placement

Application details

The following documents must be submitted with the application:

  • A written statement of approximately 500 words outlining:
  1. details of your intended placement (including the distance from your home and the duration of the placement).
  2. reasons for seeking to undertake a rural placement and desire to work in a rural/regional area upon completion of course.
  3. understanding of and commitment to the identity and mission of Australian Catholic University, especially how this relates to the rural placement.
  • Evidence of successful completion of previous placement
  • Evidence of acceptance into placement including a signed letter from a Placement Officer
  • Itemised budget outlining how the Scholarship would support your placement (including travel, accommodation, and living expenses).

ACU National Student Association - Student Travel and Training Scholarship (STTS)

This scholarship is open to applicants who meet all of the following criteria:

  • Undergraduate or postgraduate coursework;
  • Undertaking a conference, humanitarian activity, practicum, or other student training. The activity must be undertaken within 6 months before or after the application closing date.

  • Completed an Honours or research Masters-degree with major studies in systemic functional linguistics and/or multimodal semiotics, or equivalent;

Law and Business Faculty scholarships

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for the scholarship, you must:

  • be an international student
  • be enrolled full-time in an ACU bachelor degree or postgraduate coursework program offered by the School of Business commencing in 2016
  • not be receiving any other form of financial assistance from ACU or the Australian Government.

Application details

No formal application is required. The Faculty of Law and Business will assess your eligibility based on the information in your application to study at ACU. Commencing students who are successful scholarship recipients will be notified in the Letter of Offer issued by ACU.

Value details

The successful applicant will receive AUD $500 towards the cost of their tuition fees every semester, provided they continue to successfully complete all their enrolled units. The maximum value of the scholarship depends on the length of the recipient’s program.
