Last time we wrote an article on ‘why the US is #1 study abroad destination for Indians’. This time we talk about a report on why Indian parents choose the US more preferably over other countries, for their children, time and again.
According to a recent report of HSBC’s ‘The Value of Education Foundations for the Future’, nearly 58% parents expressed their wish to send their children to the US, among a list of 50 countries.
The report is based on views of 6,241 parents from different countries including Australia, Canada, China, Egypt, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, etc. Primary study destination choices of Indian parents to send their children for higher studies are USA, Australia and UK.
According to these parents, major reasons for choosing the US as a study destination for their children are – to help them gain confidence and different outlook, let them gain international work experience and help them experience new cultures and ideas.
USA manages to rule again, among other study destinations, providing a host of career opportunities to international students.
