The very image of an American president which comes to our mind is a charming, smart person who is ready to take bold steps for the future of the nation.
We also show keenness on learning about the educational qualifications of an US president.
Inclusive of the president-elect, we are going to talk about the educational qualifications of some of the last US presidents:
1. Lyndon B. Johnson
Tenure: 1963 to 1969
Education: He studied bachelors at the Southwest Texas State Teachers College (now known as Texas State University – San Marcos); withdrew before completing his degree from the Georgetown University Law School.
2. Richard Nixon
Tenure: 1969 to 1974
Education: He studied bachelors at the Whittier College and graduated from the Duke University Law School.
3. Gerald Ford
Tenure: 1974 to 1977
Education: He studied bachelors in Political Science and Economics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and graduated from the Yale Law School.
4. Jimmy Carter
Tenure: 1977 to 1981
Education: From the Georgia Southwestern College, he was transferred to the Georgia Tech. and then to the US Naval Academy, where he received a BS degree. He did his graduate studies in Nuclear Technology and Physics at the Union College but withdrew to become the senior officer on US Navy’s second nuclear submarine (the Seawolf).
5. Ronald Reagan
Tenure: 1981 to 1989
Education: Eureka College, where he pursued an undergraduate degree in Sociology and Economics.
6. George H. W. Bush
Tenure: 1989 to 1993
Education: Andover Academy. He became the youngest pilot in the US Navy at the age of 18. Later, he pursued an undergraduate degree at the Yale University.
7. Bill Clinton
Tenure: 1993 to 2001.
Education: He studied Bachelors of Science in Foreign Service from the Georgetown University Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service and acquired a Juris Doctor from the Yale Law School.
8. George W. Bush
Tenure: 2001 to 2009
Education: He studied bachelors in History from the Yale University and earned an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
9. Barack Obama
Tenure: 2009 to 2016
Education: Occidental College (2 years). He studied bachelors in Political Science, with specialisation in International Relations, at the Columbia College of Columbia University.
Later, He earned a Juris Doctor from the Harvard Law School.

10. Donald Trump
Tenure: present
Education: He studied for 2 years at the Fordham University, from where he was transferred to the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated, at the Wharton School, with bachelors in Economics in 1968.
According to The Daily Pennsylvanian, Trump said in a speech back in July, “I went to the Wharton School of Finance. I’m, like, a really smart person.” He also told Meet the Press, that Wharton is “probably the hardest school there to get into.”
