Eligibility is determined yearly and the FAFSA should be filed each year. Students must maintain at least half-time enrollment in order to continue to qualify for work-study. First-year students are assigned to work-study positions.

Students must submit the FAFSA application. First-year students are assigned to work-study positions. They must submit an employment application promptly which is sent to the student email address on file by the end of June. Students must complete standard federal and state employment forms (W-2, I-9) before they may begin working. In addition to this, two forms of identification are required, generally a valid driver's license and/or passport and social security card.

Eligibility requirements

In order to be eligible, students must have scored above the 75th percentile on any portion of the ACT or SAT (including composite scores) or have a 3.25 cumulative grade point average. First-year students must have a final cumulative high school grade point average (GPA) of 3.25 or better and upperclassmen must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or better each semester. In addition, a recipient must serve as a full-time teacher in a high-need field, in a school serving low income students for at least four academic years within eight years. In addition, each year they must complete an 'Agreement to Serve' and Entrance Counseling.
