This programme is designed for graduate engineers or those from related disciplines who wish to acquire advanced knowledge on subsea systems, their conceptions, design and installation. These include systems and equipment such as pipelines, wellheads, drilling rigs and riser and mooring systems. This course is well-balanced between technical and managerial subjects. Dedicated staffs with diverse expertise and research activities are augmented by the many research staff within the Department in their teaching. Close co-operation with industry, local, national and international, gives students an ample opportunity to study areas directly relevant to the industry. Students enjoy an excellent range of teaching facilities, including the two largest university towing tanks in the UK. This Department enjoys an excellent track record in research and teaching in diverse subject areas. Students have opportunities to come into contact with students pursuing other areas of engineering through common generic modules and associated group projects.

Entry requirement for international students
MSc: BEng with 1st or 2nd Class Honours or equivalent qualification: PgDip: Applicants with marginally lower qualifications will be considered for the PgDip in the 1st instance; applicants with other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis.
