The British Universities are now in the news. Why? Because they have decided to turn their attention towards promoting and increasing applications to the finest of fine arts- nursing. It is an art that requires patience, caring and devotion more than a painter or a sculptor. Any patient would agree with the fact that a good nurse is like an angel in disguise as the attention from a nurse is as important as the attention one would need from a micro surgeon so British universities were in India offering one day workshops for nurses in Delhi and Chennai.

They have opened the gates for nurses who have a sea of opportunities. The universities are offering them a chance to study B.Sc and M.Sc in Queen’s land. Soon nursing is said to become a graduate only profession in Britain and it is not long before this comes to India. University of Worcester has opened it’s arms and is ready to receive nursing students from India. Diploma qualified nurses will be able to take up B.Sc (Hons), a one year full-time course and those who have completed their degree can apply for a Masters in Science in Nursing or in healthcare and leadership.

Nurses who wish to work in UK can now grab this opportunity to enroll for the overseas nurses programs which kick starts from September 2012. It is well known facts that in UK nurses are considered as leaders of care so a degree from that land from the University of Worcester which was ranked the seventh best in the UK to study nursing by the Sunday Times Good University guide will boost a nurse’s career and open new avenues to explore. While pursuing Bsc (Hons) or M.Sc in nursing, students can also find part-time work in care homes. The courses will be a combination of theory and simulated clinical practice, adding value to the jobs and knowledge. It will also be the launch pad to help nurses grow in the field, or look at alternative streams related to this study.

A trained nurse is the greatest gift to humanity and now that the opportunities are many, it is time for us to make use of it. The profession which is bound to touch lives on an everyday basis will have a better boost with the degrees under your belt. So turn to the profession that can make a difference every day.
