Why Should a Student Consider Singapore as a Study Destination?

Check out top reasons why a student should consider Singapore as a study abroad destination.

Singapore has become one of the most happening cities for higher education globally. The Garden City-State has ranked 12th globally as per QS Best Student Cities ranking. This island is quite a promising option for any international student and this ranking is proof of that.

Priyanka Saxena from EGE Global feels that lately, Singapore has been gaining international recognition as a study abroad destination for a variety of reasons. Here are a few that she discusses:

  • Singapore’s proximity to India makes it a much preferred choice among Indian students and their parents. Parents of undergraduate students generally prefer Singapore over other study destinations as its only a five hour flight from India, unlike the US and the UK, and gives them more connectivity with their children.
  • Studying in Singapore, in comparison with that of the US and the UK, is less expensive making it a more affordable choice. The general cost of living in Singapore is much lower than in countries like the USA, the UK, Canada, and Australia.
  • Singapore has a promisingly stable economy which doesn’t show much fluctuation in job markets and does not have many variations in work permit regulations.
  • Singapore is a hub of over 7,500 MNC’s and students have bright chances of finding employment. In case they find employment, most employers are willing to sponsor these students if they are ready to take on the job on graduation.
