And no-don’t pinch yourself- you’re NOT dreaming! Looks like some U.S. unis offering M.Arch finally heard your prayers from all the way around the globe & want to rescue you from endless GRE-cramming! No GRE… loosely translates to no pricey prep course, no fretting over which study guides to follow, and mainly no stress over scores and requirements. Alright-*air punch*!!! For those of you still wondering if this could shake up your academic foundation-the director of student services at the University of Washington Information School assures us, based on a recent analysis done on test scores of numerous applicants, that GRE is not really a strong indicator of how likely you are to succeed in grad school.
Think about it - did Vitruvius, one of the world’s greatest architects from good old Rome, come out with De Architectura (dating back to 15 B.C.) only after clearing the GRE? Were world-famous historical works of architecture, like the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy or the Pyramids in Egypt, built by graduates who met GRE score requirements? Ha! It seems but silly to let a little thing such as a GRE score define how good you would be as an architect! Words every aspiring architect looking to build a bridge (no pun intended) to their future dream career in the USA- wants to hear! Agreed?
