Hi, I have done two years of BSc-Biotechnology in JaiHind, Mumbai and have got admission (Fall 2012) as an International Transfer student in several universities in USA. I wish to pursue BS and then MS/PhD in USA with research. Admission received (in Sophomore instead of Junior) are from: SUNY-UB, UCal-Davis, Rutgers-New Brunswick, IU Bloomington, Rochester Inst of Tech (RIT) and Montana State Univ. I wish to know which college has best Biotechnology program and research facility. Also, which college will be best suited campus wise, etc. I have to decide before 1st June 2012. Please help. Thanks.

Hello,

Congratulations on getting admission in Sophomore year as a transfer student for Biotechnology. It is difficult to get equivalent credits as education system of India is different from education system followed in USA Universities.

I find Rutgers University New Brunswick as the best choice for Biotechnology as it has good research facility. Further, it offers 4+1 years (in your case it will be 3 + 1 years) of BS + MS degree for Biotechnology. As you wish to pursue your further studies in MS this will save the year that you have lost as a transfer student. Email the university professors for more details.

Regards,
