Hi, pharmacology is the study of drugs, their effects and how they interact with other drugs. Pharmacology degrees can lead to careers in pharmacological research. This type of research is primarily geared toward understanding how various drugs work, what effects they have on the body and ways to develop new drugs in order to treat disease. You may find employment in universities, large hospitals, the pharmaceutical industry, and government agencies. Depending on the strengths and inclinations of the individual, after further professional training, pharmacologists may practice their profession as physicians, researchers, teachers, administrators, or combinations of these.
Food scientists and technologists help to maintain the Nation’s food supply by ensuring food safety. A master's degree in food science or nutrition gives graduates the skills to pursue a variety of careers. You can work under clinical dietetics, management dietetics, consultant dietetics or community dietetics. While clinical dietitians work in hospitals and medical facilities, management dietitians are employed in prisons, companies and school cafeterias. Nutritionists and dietitians with graduate degrees can open private practices or become consultants for private individuals, health agencies and nutrition-related companies.
