Hi, The cost of pursuing Higher studies abroad is expensive and almost 70% students who have gone abroad have taken bank loans to Pursue higher studies. This is only goes on to show that several Middle Class students who did not have sufficient funds with them, used banks to support them and with repayment period of 7 to 8 years, most students work hard abroad and repay them.
For the costs involved in studying, US has a big range. Universities fees will vary from 15 to 20,000 dollars to as high as 60 to 70,000 $ per year of education. Living expenses also will vary from state to state. But if you have about 20 to 25 lakhs of rupees you can pursue a good Masters from USA from a good quality University.
Australian University fees will be in the range of about 20,000 to 25,000 A$ per year ( approx 10 to 12 lakhs) per year. So you need to budget about 25 to 30 lakhs to do a 2 year Masters.
Both the countries allow students to work part time and have limitation set for duration of work. So students can manage a big chunk of living expenses by working part time. Scholarships are available for students, though it is limited to a few good students.
