Well, in today's' advertising world, I see many educational consulting organisations. Is it better to go to a college via them or be and prepare on our own... And some of these educational consulting organisations doesn't have top universities in them.. Is it better to consider them??

There are some very qualified and knowledgeable recruiting agents in India and some of them do represent good colleges & universities, so you can't generalize. Some time you save time and money by consulting with them.

Nevertheless, there are certain fields and certain countries where it might be better to contact the university directly.

In UK and Australia, most of the universities have appointed agents in India and you can go thru the list of Australian Embassy or the British Council office in New Delhi or Mumbai to find an approved and reliable agent.

In case of USA & Canada, you are right - the good universities do not pay commission or appoint an agent.
