Is Masters in hospitality in NZ a good option. Please advice!
Prashant Singh Prashant Singh Member Join date: Aug, 2014 Posts: 3 Points: 0

Hi i am pursuing final year of my b.sc in hospitality will complete it by 2015 may. Please suggest me a course as many consultants suggest for a regular diploma like graduate diploma in hospitality level 7 from otago polytechnic and many suggest postgraduate diploma from PIHMS. Is it a good idea to go for a graduate diploma after completing bachelors? I also had a chat with one of my freind in PIHMS he says to do a business course to become a front office manager as my feild is front office, it is important to be a manager to get a PR and it is impoosible for one to become a manager in front office from postgraduate diploma. Please suggest between diploma.. postgraduate diploma and masters.. also the PR requirements in New zealand

Hi Prashant,

Thanks for your query, please see below clarifications regarding your query:

There is no harm in applying for a PG diploma (level 7) course but it should look as genuine application not a desperate application, and if master's course options are available then you should choose it as first option.

For suggesting a course, I would like to know your long term goal.

Secondly New Zealand is a quality focused destination, so don't choose your course in hurry, otherwise it will create problem at the time of filing PR application.

Thanks and have a nice day ahead.
