Choosing to pursue an MBA with a specialization in IT should give students a combination of the technical experience and background necessary to manage networks and systems, as well arm them with practical knowledge of operations management, marketing, human resources and accounting. Successfully completing an MBA in IT can mean more job opportunities in a competitive field and economy. You may be able to command a higher salary or get the promotion you’ve been waiting for. Not to be forgotten is the contacts you will make over the course of your program! Some important questions to ask: Does the MBA program offer a concentration in IT?, Are they using current technology and software?, What are previous graduates doing now?
