I recently completed my internship in India and am exploring various options for postgraduate study. Im interested in ENT and general surgery. Could you tell me the types of surgical pg courses available in the UK? What would I have to do in order to be eligible and apply for those courses? Where can I find more information?

Dear Nidhi,
Hope you are fine.
Thanks for the query.
There are lot of Uk universities which offer masters in Surgery, however, the course title might not necessarily be M.S. as it can be M.Sc also.
The application process requires you to have a related academic background in medicine,IELTS,good statement of purpose, letter of recommendations. Some of the universities might also ask for PLAB,work experience.
Please browse through the below link for your reference

Hope this helps.

Thank you for the information. I had gone through the link you had provided and found that many of the courses require a postgraduate qualification, work experience etc. A few courses seemed interesting but i found the duration of such courses range from 1 (if full-time) to 2 years (part-time), in contrast to the 3 year courses we have in India.
Are these courses of any value?
