Engineering as a major is a popular choice among the Indian students who go abroad to study. There are a good number of leading universities in the UK which offer undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in various branches of engineering. But most Indian students opt for the smaller lesser-known private colleges either because they couldn’t provide the required scores or couldn’t afford the tuition fee. It is for such students that many of the top universities offer scholarships for Engineering- these help students borrow less in the form of educational loans and eventually reduce the burden on their parents / sponsors.
Here are the scholarships a few of the leading universities in the UK offer Indian students:
University of Birmingham
The University offers engineering scholarships for international students at the undergraduate level. The value of scholarships ranges between £1,500 to £3,000.
MPhil students applying to Cambridge for engineering courses are eligible for the Lloyd’s Register Educational Trust scholarship awarded by an independent organisation. This award is specially for students taking up an Engineering course for Sustainable Development, Material Sciences and Metallurgy. Apart from these, there are a few other scholarships offered to engineering students at both postgraduate and undergraduate levels.
