IOE Centenary Doctoral Scholarships

Student requirements

You need to be a non-EU national who has not previously studied or resided for more than one year in the UK, and need to be able to clearly demonstrate in your application: 1. Academic and professional excellence, as set out in your programme application and research proposal; 2. How you plan to work either in your home country, or another, to improve the circumstances of disadvantaged, excluded or underachieving citizens. IOE Centenary Doctoral Scholarships 2015/16 for overseas students: applications open to offer-holders. The scholarships will cover full tuition fees, but not living costs, for full-time study in London. They will be tenable for three years, subject to satisfactory progress.

Nicholas Hans Comparative Education Scholarship

Student requirements

The Scholarship is open to those who: a) are full-time registered doctoral students in their first or second year of study at the Institute or are Master's degree graduates of the Institute of Education who have been accepted to register for a doctoral degree at the Institute starting in the academic year 2014-15; b) are or will be undertaking a comparative education thesis; c) are non-United Kingdom residents studying in this country. The scholarship alone will not cover the cost of a year's stay in London, so the successful candidate will also need to provide evidence that he/she can cover living expenses in order to take up the scholarship for the relevant academic year.

Centenary Masters Scholarships

IOE Centenary Masters Scholarship: You need to be a non-EU national who has not previously studied or resided for more than one year in the UK. International Students House Centenary Masters Scholarship: You need to be a student from a low-income or lower-middle income country (as defined by the World Bank) who has not previously studied or resided for more than one year in the UK.

You need to demonstrate clearly: 1. Academic and professional excellence, as set out in your programme application and research proposal. 2. Financial need – evidenced in your application for the award. You need to show how receiving an award of £2,000, £3,000 or £5,000 would enable you to commit to studying at the IOE. You must be a non-EU national who is liable to overseas tuition fees. Students already enrolled at the IOE are not eligible to apply.
