Global Challenges Scholarship

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for a Global Challenges Scholarship as an international student, you must: be eligible to enrol in an undergraduate degree at Lincoln; have completed secondary school in the past five years, achieved well academically and not attended another tertiary institution in New Zealand (if you have completed a diploma, undergraduate or postgraduate degree at other international institutions, you are not eligible for this scholarship); have a strong academic background that demonstrates your ability to undertake and complete a university degree while maintaining involvement in scholarship activities; have a very good grasp of English, with an overall score of 6 in IELTS (or similar qualification), as the scholarship development programme has a strong focus on communication and co-operative work. If you: have done English language or foundation studies overseas, you will be accepted if you meet the other criteria; are completing a Diploma in University Studies at Lincoln University, you can apply for your following year (if successful, you will enter the programme in your second year of the degree, but as a first year on the scholarship programme).

New Zealand Excellence Awards (NZEA)

Eligibility requirements

All Applicants must: Be at least 18 years at the time of application; Hold current citizenship of India (and not be a citizen or Permanent Resident of New Zealand or Australia); Hold a minimum equivalent GPA of B+ in your most recent or highest tertiary qualification; Have evidence of (unconditional) offer of place at a New Zealand University. Meet Immigration New Zealand requirements for a New Zealand Student Visa including health, character requirements and evidence of financial support. The NZEA gives Indian students the opportunity to pursue undergraduate or postgraduate study in New Zealand in the fields of business, fashion and STEM related programmes (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).

Applicants must complete the NZEA Scholarship Application Form and enclose the following documents: evidence of (unconditional) offer of place at a New Zealand University; academic transcripts; 2 x Referee’s Reports; Curriculum Vitae; Proof of Indian Citizenship; Proof of financial documents to support the remaining cost of education as specified by Immigration New Zealand.

Lincoln University PhD Scholarship

Eligibility requirements

Scholarships will be open to applicants who have gained entrance into a Doctor of Philosophy at Lincoln University. If a candidate awarded a scholarship under above does not become eligible to register for Doctor of Philosophy at Lincoln University by 1 March in the year following the award, then the award will lapse. A minimum grade point average equating to an A- (80%) average is required in order to be eligible to apply for the scholarship. Research or other relevant experience.

Lincoln University Masters Scholarship

Postgraduate

Eligibility requirements

Scholarships will be open to full-time students eligible to register for a research based Masters degree at Lincoln University. A scholarship may be awarded to a person who is not eligible to register as a candidate for the thesis year of their Masters degree at Lincoln University provided he or she becomes eligible to so register by 1 March in the year following the awards. The scholarship will lapse if the candidate is not registered for the required postgraduate qualification by the date established in above or those established under special provision. A minimum grade point average of 7.0 equating to an A- 80 per cent average is required in order to be eligible to apply for the scholarship. Emphasis may be placed on academic achievement in advanced level undergraduate courses.

Eligibility requirements

Any student who successfully completes a minimum of 12 weeks EAP will receive a fees rebate award, when they enrol in either the Certificate in University Studies, Diploma in University Studies, Telford Certificate and Diploma, or an undergraduate degree.
