With a history dating back to 1880, Southern Institute of Technology (SIT) has four campuses in Invercargill, Queenstown, Christchurch and Gore, New Zealand and over 13,000 students.
All its programmes are accredited by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority, listed on the New Zealand Qualifications Framework and link to a wealth of employment or further study options in New Zealand and overseas. Its programmes are offered at certificate, diploma, bachelor degree and postgraduate levels. Not only are these qualifications cutting-edge, they also encourage students to think outside the square.
Students will also benefit from its strong links with business and industry. Many of its programmes offer multiple intakes every year. From its English Language Institute which offers intakes almost every week to its business programmes which offer between four and nine intakes a year, SIT makes it easier to start studying.
SIT’s staff makes the difference. Its academic- and industry-qualified staff from Southland and around the world are leaders in their fields. Its small class sizes mean personalised attention for students from its friendly academics.
Unlike many other institutions, SIT doesn't have lots of different fees and charges: its course fee and resource fee covers the vast majority of services students will need.
