Overview
Established in 1914, the Goethe University of Frankfurt was funded by the rich and influential people of Frankfurt to create a premier university in their city. The University evolved into a powerful name to reckon with and 18 Nobel Prize winners are associated with the University. Grand celebrations were conducted in 2014, when the University completed 100 years of service to the student community. The University has four campuses spread across Frankfurt, the main campus is known as Campus Westend. The other three campuses are in Bockenheim, Riedberg and Niederrad. The University has a total of 16 faculties and degrees are offered in subjects as varied as Medicine and Physics and Geography and Philosophy.
