Hi, I am from Chennai. Was based in Mauritius and did my high schooling there. Joined Niali in 2003 and passed out in 2006. My degree was awarded by OBU. The year is divided into three, as opposed to two semesters in most other universities. Each sem last for 3 months and a bit and there's a break of about roughly a month in between each semester. The course is interesting although it does not specialize in any specefic aspect of computing. Its more a general overview of both software and hardware with a little bit of both thrown in. The honours part of the degree is completely reliant on one project which spans 2 semesters in duration. If this project is not done, then the student gets a regualr bsc degree. The advantage of the course is that a wide range of options are available once graduation is complete. Since it does not concentrate on any specific area it gives the student time to decide what his/her individual strengths are, and then decide on future studies based on that. On the flip side, working immediately might put the student in a conundrum as he has not specialized in any particular area. Overall though it was a good experience. show less
