Kevin Rocci, GMAT Expert from Magoosh gives us tips on what books to invest in while preparing for the GMAT. The first option, he feels for those looking to buy just one book should be the 13th Edition of GMAT Review
. This is the official guide to the GMAT, he points out. This book is produced by actual the makers of the GMAT and has many old GMAT questions in it for practise. This book, he mentions, has a lot of practise questions and will give you a sense of what kind of questions to expect. The problem with this book, however, according to him, is that it fails to cover strategies.
Kevin Rocci takes us to our next best option; if you were willing to invest a bit more, he assures us that a Manhattan GMAT book would be a great choice. Kevin recommends Manhattan GMAT books
and says that they are exceptionally good as some of these books focus solely only on specific question types. The Manhattan GMAT for “Sentence Correction” is one such example. These Manhattan GMAT Strategy Guides have questions of high quality. He explains that when it comes to Manhattan books, you can purchase based on what skills you are looking to improve, such as math or reading.
One more such excellent choice, according to Kevin Rocci, would be the 5LB GMAT Book that takes you through preparation of all five sections. These are some of the best in the market that you should get your hands on- to come out with flying colours in the GMAT!
