Applicants must have submitted an application to their chosen programme at Trinity College to be eligible. The scholarship will be assessed based on academic achievement, and evaluation of the applicants’ potential to contribute to the overall TCD community.

Eligible Majors and Course Level is Bachelor in Business Studies (Trinity Specialist Business Degree).  Applicants who have non-EU status and will pay tuition fees at the non-EU rate. The scholarship will be assessed based on academic achievement, and evaluation of the applicants’ potential to contribute to the overall TCD community.

India Undergraduate Scholarships

Eligibility requirements

Several scholarships are applied as a reduction to the tuition fees of a full-time undergraduate programme for the first year of study only.

Eligible Majors and Course Level: 

There are several scholarships available in the following areas:

  • Full-time undergraduate programmes (except Medicine, Dentistry and Acting)
  • Bachelor in Business Studies (Trinity Specialist Business Degree).

Applicants who are normally resident in and have completed their high school education in India.  Applicants who have non-EU status and will pay tuition fees at the non-EU rate.  Applicants must have achieved a minimum:

  • International Baccalaureate score of 30
  • A level score of BBB
  • India Grade XII score of 80% overall

The scholarship will be assessed based on academic achievement, and evaluation of the applicants’ potential to contribute to the overall TCD community

Postgraduate Research Studentship

Eligibility requirements

Postgraduate studentships are available to new entrants on the full-time Ph.D. register for entry in September and/or the following March of the same academic year (e.g. September 2017 and/or March 2018). The postgraduate Studentships aim to support and develop gifted research students. They are awarded competitively on academic merit.

Application details

New entrants must make their application in conjunction with their PhD application. They must apply online. Nominations are considered at various times of the year depending on the School. New applicants are advised to submit their application as early as possible.

Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Masters Scholarship

Eligibility requirements

The School of Languages, Literatures and Cultures offers Faculty Masters scholarships to Non-EU eligible graduate applicants who wish to study at TCD and pursue a full-time Masters degree in one of the School’s Postgraduate Programmes in the academic year 2017-2018.

The School of Languages, Literatures and Cultural Studies offers the following Masters Programmes:

  • MPhil in Comparative Literature
  • MPhil in Early Irish
  • MPhil in European Studies
  • MPhil in Literary Translation
  • MPhil in Medieval Language, Literature and Culture
  • MPhil in Textual and Visual Studies

The one-year scholarships will consist of non-EU fee remission in the 2017/18 academic year.

Application details

Applicants must apply online and should submit a supporting statement of motivation of approximately 500 words outlining their reasons for applying for the course and their main areas of academic interest.

Applicants who wish to be considered for the scholarship should complete the application process online before submitting their statement of motivation to the Director of Postgraduate Teaching and Learning.

Ussher Fellowship

Eligibility requirements

Ussher Fellowships are awarded competitively on academic merit. The Fellowship is unrelated to teaching commitments. Open to new entrants on the PhD register (not to continuing students). All new full-time PhD students (EU and non-EU) who apply to the School by 1 May are automatically considered.

Hamilton Scholars

Eligibility requirements

The Hamilton Scholars aims to produce a cohort of exceptional PhD students whose work is expected to have a significant international impact in their chosen area of specialisation.

The Hamilton Scholars focuses on fields where Trinity plays a leading role internationally such as Algebra and Number Theory, Analysis, Partial Differential Equations, Quantum Field Theory, Lattice Quantum Chromodynamics and String Theory. Scholarships will be awarded to PhD students of outstanding talent, internationally, who will be selected to study a key research theme within the disciplines of mathematics and theoretical physics. Female candidates will be specifically sought out and invited to apply.

Each Hamilton Scholar will receive individual research supervision with an internationally-renowned mathematician or theoretical physicist. The programme will also provide an exciting opportunity for the individual scholars to gain invaluable research and teaching experience, preparing them to take their place as academic leaders of the future.

Eligibility requirements

Trinity Business School provides numerous scholarships to students from across the world in our commitment to develop outstanding global business leaders. Previous recipients come from a variety of countries and educational backgrounds but all displayed strong academic and personal achievements. Funding is available for students who have been accepted onto the MSc programmes.
