Santander & University of Birmingham Scholarship

In order to apply, candidates must: be a national of and domiciled in, one of the following countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay, USA, Venezuela; Priority will be given to students graduating from the Santander Universities network in Latin America or USA; be overseas for fee purposes; have applied for a one year full time masters course and have been issued with a student id number. Any application received without an id number will not be considered; must not be in receipt of a full fee scholarship from any other source; have made adequate financial provision to study in the UK. Minimum results required: Applicants must have an excellent academic background obtaining a good 2:1/Upper Second Class or equivalent bachelors degree as a minimum.

College of Arts and Law Masters Scholarships

This award is open to UK/EU students, studying campus-based masters-level degrees in the College of Arts and Law. International students are also eligible to apply, and will receive a reduction in tuition-fees equivalent to the home/EU rate if successful. Applications for funding can only be considered alongside an application to study. If you apply for these scholarships, you will also be considered for additional awards for Music, Musical Performance and Philosophy, and for the Stanley Ray scholarships. This award covers tuition fees for all masters-level degrees in the College's five schools: English, Drama, American and Canadian Studies; History and Cultures; Languages, Cultures, Art History and Music; Philosophy, Theology and Religion.

Arthurian Postgraduate Awards

The awards are open to graduates of any university in the British Isles, including those of the Republic of Ireland. Law School - LLM Scholarships

Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and financial need. Applicants must already have applied for admission to the LLM degree programme. Successful applicants will be notified in July 2015. Scholarships are not payable directly to successful applicants but are set off against the University fee invoice for 2015-2016 and will be transferred once successful applicants have paid the balance owed by them to the University.

Law School - LLB for Graduates Scholarships

This scholarship is for students who have applied for the LLB for Graduates programme and placed Birmingham as firm choice. Successful applicants will be notified in July. Scholarships are not paid directly to successful applicants but will take the form of a fee reduction at the beginning of the programme. To retain the Excellence Scholarship students must gain a minimum of a 2:1 (60%+) in each year of study. Should these grades not be achieved the scholarship will be withdrawn for the remainder of the programme. Scholarships are only available for students beginning their programme in September and cannot be deferred. Students in receipt of support from other funding bodies which wholly cover their tuition are not eligible.

TASS Scholarship

Scholars may study in any subject, and a variety of Paralympic, winter and summer sports are considered. In order to be considered, you must be achieving national recognition in a sport at least at U18 level. The value of the scholarship will vary depending on your sport, however in general the award will offer the following: Access to specialist support services at the University (sports science, sports medicine, and S&C); Access to training facilities; Funding towards elite coaching, competition, training costs and equipment; Mentoring; Series of talented athlete lifestyle workshops. TASS athletes at Birmingham also receive all the benefits of a UBSport Scholarship including free gym membership and swimming pool access.

The Physics Sports Bursary is open to all sports people who have applied to study an undergraduate programme within the School of Physics & Astronomy. The Physics Sports Bursary is awarded in recognition of sporting talent to undergraduate students within the School, and to encourage them to continue to pursue their interest while studying at the University. This scholarship is renewable for each year depending on academic performance. It is possible to apply for both the University of Birmingham Sports Scholarships and the Physics Sport Bursary, though the Physics School Bursary will not be awarded to someone already receiving a University of Birmingham Sport or TASS scholarship.
