Forward Bound Scholarships

Student requirements

To be eligible for the Forward Bound scholarship, you need to be a Health Promotion MA applicant from one of the eligible countries. Applicants should also be a paid health professional. In exceptional cases, applicants whose influence is through non-paid roles – for example through voluntary agencies – may also be considered.

Application details

You can only apply for the Forward Bound scholarship once you have have applied for the Health Promotion MA. You then need to complete the scholarship application form and submit it by email to forwardbound@brighton.ac.uk. The application process includes obtaining a formal agreement from employers that endorses a sabbatical leave of absence lasting 12 months.

Further funding details

The Forward Bound scholarship is available to Health Promotion MA applicants from low or lower-middle income countries. It will fund your course fees, travel costs, accommodation, visa, subsistence and health insurance.

International Research Scholarships

Student requirements

In order to be eligible for the scholarship, you must be a new, full-time international research student with an unconditional place for entry in October 2016. You must be a national from, and currently reside in, one of the following countries: Bangladesh, Brazil, India, Nigeria, Pakistan or Vietnam. For 2016 entry, there are 30 University of Brighton international scholarships available to new, full-time international undergraduate and postgraduate taught-degree students. The scholarship is worth £5,000 off the cost of your tuition fees for each year of your course. Please email internationalscholarships@brighton.ac.uk with your University of Brighton student number in the subject line, and we will send you a scholarship application pack.

Santander International Masters Scholarships

These scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic excellence and will be awarded alongside the 30 international scholarships. In order to be eligible, you need to hold an offer of admission to a one-year, full-time Masters programme in any subject at the University of Brighton by the advertised deadlines for the International Scholarships; this offer can be unconditional or conditional. Chevening International Scholarships

These scholarships are for talented people who have been identified as potential future leaders across a wide range of fields including politics, business, the media, civil society, religion and academia. International Huxley Scholarships

In order to be eligible to apply for a Huxley scholarship you must be a new, full-time, self-funding international masters student on one of the following courses: Biomedical Sciences MSc, Clinical Pharmacy MSc, Industrial Pharmaceutical Sciences MSc, Pharmacology MSc, Bioscience MRes, Chemistry MRes, Ecology MRes, Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences MRes. International College Scholarships

Student requirements

The University of Brighton International College (UBIC) offers a range of partial scholarships to international students who successfully complete their course at the college and progress onto studying at the university. Students with the best academic grades, excellent attendance and who have contributed to the student community at the International College may be eligible to a £2,000 scholarship. igh-performing students with an overall final attendance rate of 90% and above at the College may be eligible for the scholarship. Students must also continue their studies at the University of Brighton after their preparation course at the College. Students progressing onto other universities or other University of Brighton International College programmes do not qualify for the scholarship. International (non-EU) fee-paying students are eligible only. Non fee-paying EU students may not be considered for the scholarship.

Students that meet the scholarships requirements can submit their applications to the Head of Student and Academic Services at the College. Application forms and further information can be found at the Student Services office at the College.
