Student requirements

Applicants must be full-time students at an English, Scottish, Welsh or Northern Irish university. Country: England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Level of study: Undergraduate - Postgraduate Taught - Postgraduate Research. The Study China Programme offers a limited number of widening participation bursaries to students in receipt of a maintenance grant. Additionally, students may be able to apply for funding from their university as many universities offer bursaries specifically for their students to participate in The Study China Programme.

The Martin Niemöller Scholarships

Student requirements

The German Speaking Congregation in Glasgow are pleased to offer 2-3 scholarship awards between £500 and £750 for students originating from German speaking countries. The Scholarships will be available to any students in financial need, however, those coming to Glasgow from one of the following German speaking countries/areas will be given preference: Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Regione Autonoma Trentino-Alto Adige/Sudtirol, Liechtenstein. Students studying any course level at the University of Glasgow. Students coming from one of the above countries as part of an exchange programme will also be eligible to apply. Students should ideally be able to demonstrate financial hardship.

On-line and distance learning courses are not eligible for funding, Preferably have a place on a one-year postgraduate taught masters, Have not previously completed undergraduate studies at a Scottish University. This exciting scholarship opportunity is open to Canadian, Chinese, Indian and US nationals and is aimed at encouraging bright, talented and hardworking individuals to live, work and study in Scotland. All entrants must be entering their final year of study in a degree connected to the fields of Marketing, Business Administration or Communications for the academic year 2013-2014. All applications must be made from an associated university email account and have attached proof from the university that confirms the applicant meets the set criteria. The Wimdu scholarship will help and encourage Business Management and Marketing students to bridge the gap between university and graduate employment.

To be eligible, applicants must: demonstrate excellent academic achievement before starting University, be classed as International students for fee purposes, hold an offer of a place for an undergraduate programme. The University of Glasgow award a total of 30 undergraduate scholarships of £5,000 p.a. for each year of the degree programme to international new entrants to the University. The scholarship is awarded as a tuition fee discount and is subject to satisfactory progress for consecutive years.
