Asian Development Bank - Japan Scholarship

Student must have received an unconditional offer of place for the Master of International Business, Master of Engineering, Master of Economics, Master of Public Health, Master of Agribusiness, Master of Agricultural Science, Master of Forest Ecosystem Science, or Master of Business Administration by the 31 October; be a citizen of the Asia Development Bank's developing member countries; have at least two years full-time professional work experience; be aged 35 years or under at the time of assessment; not have already completed a master degree or previously studies overseas; and be living and working in their home country.

International Postgraduate Research Scholarship

Eligibility requirements

Students must be an international applicant (ie. a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand, and not an Australian permanent resident) and meet international student visa requirements; have completed tertiary studies that are at least equivalent to a 4-year honours degree at an Australian university with a minimum result of first class honours; have applied for admission to undertake masters by research or doctorate by research degree at the University of Melbourne; not be enrolled in the course for which students seek scholarship; have not already completed a research qualification at the same or higher level as the course for which a scholarship is sought. IPRS are awarded on the basis of academic merit. Eligible applicants are scored and ranked according to their: academic achievement in their last completed degree; and research potential in their field of study, taking into consideration factors relevant to the proposed research including professional experience, refereed publications, specialist medical qualifications or composition of original music.

Bachelor of Commerce Global Scholarship

Eligibility requirements

This scholarship is for international students only. They must have completed an approved Year 12 program or equivalent that meets the eligibility requirements for the Bachelor of Commerce. This will include a range of programs such as Foundation, Australian Year 12, IB, Indian Year 12, and A Levels. Students must: achieve a minimum ATAR of 90 (or equivalent) and fulfill subject prerequisites for the Bachelor of Commerce. Scores that are slightly below targets published in entry requirements page may be considered; be a citizen from a country deemed to be under-represented in the Bachelor of Commerce; be made an unconditional offer for the Bachelor of Commerce; accept a place in the Bachelor of Commerce in the year it is offered. Selection is based on academic merit and country of citizenship.

Melbourne International Undergraduate Scholarship

To be considered for a fee remission scholarship you must: be a citizen of a country other than Australia and New Zealand and not a permanent resident of Australia; have received an unconditional offer for an undergraduate course; have achieved excellent final year school results, such as: 4 A-grades in the GCE A Levels, an ATAR of 99.9 in the Australian Year 12 program, overall 98% in an approved Foundation program, an International Baccalaureate (IB) score of 44; and not have  previously undertaken any tertiary studies (excluding extension studies completed as part of a year 12 program).

You do not need to submit an application for this scholarship. All eligible students who have received an unconditional offer for admission to an undergraduate degree will automatically be considered.

Value details

One off AUD $10,000 fee remission from tuition fees in the first year of an undergraduate degree; or a 50% remission from tuition fees for the normal full-time duration of an undergraduate degree; or a 100% remission from tuition fees for the normal full-time duration of an undergraduate degree.

Melbourne Global Scholars Award

You are eligible if you: Completed an Australian Year 12 qualification or the IB in Australia in the year prior to entry (you must either enrol immediately or be granted a deferral in the year following Year 12). Satisfy undergraduate course prerequisites. Arts, Biomedicine, Commerce, Environments and Science applicants: achieve an ATAR or notional ATAR of 99.90 or above; Music applicants: achieve an ATAR or notional ATAR of 99.85 or above and an audition score of A.Indigenous applicants (all courses): achieve an ATAR or notional ATAR of 90.00 or above (and satisfy the extra requirements for Music).
