Asian Development Bank - Japan Scholarship

Eligibility requirements

Student must have received an unconditional offer of place for the Master of International Business, Master of Engineering, Master of Economics, Master of Public Health, Master of Agribusiness, Master of Agricultural Science, Master of Forest Ecosystem Science, or Master of Business Administration by the 31 October; be a citizen of the Asia Development Bank's developing member countries; have at least two years full-time professional work experience; be aged 35 years or under at the time of assessment; not have already completed a master degree or previously studies overseas; and be living and working in their home country.

  • not have previously held an APA for six months or more;
  • have completed tertiary studies that are at least equivalent to a 4-year honours degree at an Australian university with a minimum result of first class Honours;

Endeavour - Cheung Kong Student Exchange Program (ECKSEP)

  • International students nominated by eligible partner universities, enrolled in full time undergraduate exchange at the University of Melbourne
  • Have not received Endeavour or NCP funding previously
  • Outbound students awarded an NCP or Endeavour grant are not eligible to receive the Melbourne Global Scholars Award (MGSA) for the same overseas study program

Melbourne International Undergraduate Scholarship

Eligibility requirements

To be considered for a fee remission scholarship you must: be a citizen of a country other than Australia and New Zealand and not a permanent resident of Australia; have received an unconditional offer for an undergraduate course; have achieved excellent final year school results, such as: 4 A-grades in the GCE A Levels, an ATAR of 99.9 in the Australian Year 12 program, overall 98% in an approved Foundation program, an International Baccalaureate (IB) score of 44; and not have  previously undertaken any tertiary studies (excluding extension studies completed as part of a year 12 program).

You do not need to submit an application for this scholarship. All eligible students who have received an unconditional offer for admission to an undergraduate degree will automatically be considered.

Value details

One off AUD $10,000 fee remission from tuition fees in the first year of an undergraduate degree; or a 50% remission from tuition fees for the normal full-time duration of an undergraduate degree; or a 100% remission from tuition fees for the normal full-time duration of an undergraduate degree.

International Postgraduate Research Scholarship

  • be an international applicant (ie. a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand, and not an Australian permanent resident) and meet international student visa requirements;

  • have applied for admission to undertake masters by research or doctorate by research degree at the University of Melbourne;
  • not be enrolled in the course for which you seek scholarship;
  • have not already completed a research qualification at the same or higher level as the course for which a scholarship is sought.

If you have applied for a Melbourne Research Scholarship, you will be automatically considered for the Australian Postgraduate Award.

Melbourne National Scholarship

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

  • be either:
  1. an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or a New Zealand citizen and have completed Year 12 or International Baccalaureate in Australia, or 
  2. an Australian citizen and have completed Australian Year 12 or International Baccalaureate outside Australia.
  • have applied for a University of Melbourne course for commencement in the year following completion of Year 12 or IB via VTAC,
  • have achieved an ATAR of:
  1. at least 99.90 for students with a VTAC preference for a University of Melbourne Bachelor degree
  2. at least 99.85 and an audition score of A+ for students with a VTAC preference for the University of Melbourne Bachelor of Music
  3. at least 90.00 for students from Indigenous Australian descent
  • not have been awarded results in a degree course at a tertiary institution in Australia; and
  • satisfy the prerequisites for your nominated course

Students do not need to submit an application for this scholarship. Eligible students who have applied for admission to the University will be automatically considered. Scholarship offers are conditional on receiving an offer for admission to a University of Melbourne undergraduate degree.
