Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship for Research Excellence (International)

Students can apply for this scholarship if they: are classed as an overseas student for fee purposes and already hold an offer to start a full-time research degree programme, PhD or MPhil, at Nottingham in September or October 2016, any subject area (Engineering students should apply for the Faculty of Engineering Research Excellence PhD Scholarship). Applications are welcome from suitable candidates but would particularly value applications from strong candidates wishing to work within the research priority areas of each faculty.

Faculty of Engineering Research Excellence PhD Scholarship

It is important that you state on your scholarship application the specific topic you are interested in researching and why; applications listing broad fields of research eg ‘civil engineering’ or ‘mechanical engineering’ rarely get supported. Applicants must hold a conditional or unconditional offer of a place on a full-time research degree programme at The University of Nottingham UK Campus before submitting a scholarship application. Applicants must also be classified as an international student for fees purposes. We particularly welcome applications from strong candidates wishing to work within the research priority areas of the faculty. Continuation of the award is subject to satisfactory progress.
