Applicants must be of Indigenous Pacific Island descent (either domestic or international); intending to enrol full-time in a 400-level postgraduate programme offered by the Otago School of Medical Sciences.

Diane Campbell-Hunt Memorial Award

Eligibility requirements

Applicants must: be enrolled and confirmed in a PhD programme in any Department or School at the University of Otago; have had accepted in a peer-reviewed academic paper (conference or journal) that contributes to New Zealand conservation, and in which they are the lead author; not have previously been awarded the award.

Application details

Applicants must complete the application form and enclose the following documents: a copy of the paper for which the award will be made; report from supervisor or head of department; summary of how the award will be used to support further research; statement outlining paper’s contribution to New Zealand conservation (500 words or less); detailed budget; statement outlining plans for how their research will be communicated to the public (500 words or less). This completed application form must be sent to: Scholarships Administrator, University of Otago, P O Box 56, Dunedin.

Alan Musgrave Scholarship in Philosophy

Eligibility requirements

Applicants must be: an international student who do not qualify for domestic tuition fee rates; intending to enrol full-time in the year following selection, either in a one year BA (Hons) in Philosophy followed by a Master's degree by thesis in Philosophy, or in a Master's degree by thesis in Philosophy.

Applicants must submit the completed application form with the following documents: original or witnessed copies of all previous tertiary study results; original or witnessed copy of English language results (if applicable); recent short sample of the applicant’s writing on a topic in philosophy to Doctoral and Scholarships Office, University of Otago, PO Box 56, Dunedin 9054.

Noni Wright Scholarship

Eligibility requirements

Applicants must be currently enrolled or intending to enrol for full-time study at the University of Otago in the year following the closing date. Must be intending to study for the degree of MA or MFA in Theatre Studies, or for a PhD researching a topic in Theatre Studies.

University of Otago Coursework Master's Scholarship

Eligibility requirements

Applicants must be obtaining their first Otago Coursework Master's qualification. Domestic students or international students undertaking a coursework Master's degree (degree by papers only, or, if a research component is included, the research paper should have a point value of less than 90 points).

Application invitations are restricted by a nomination system. Once a student has been admitted to their programme of choice, the department will assess their suitability for scholarship funding and advise the Scholarships Office that they wish to nominate a candidate for this Coursework Masters Scholarship.
