The University of Portsmouth is delighted to announce that we have five scholarships available, worth £5,000 each, to students from India. GREAT scholarships are offered in partnership with the British Council and are open to Indian students applying for an undergraduate or postgraduate degree for September 2017 entry.

Application details

The deadline for submitting your scholarship application is the 30th June 2017. Successful candidates will be informed by the 15th July 2017. Candidates must accept their place by the 1st of August 2017.

Sports Scholarship Scheme

Student requirements

To be eligible for this scholarship students must: be of regional, national or international standard in their sport or show strong evidence of future outstanding potential; fulfil the normal entry requirements for the course for which they are applying/which they are currently studying; be committed to playing a full part in the Athletic Union and, wherever possible, be prepared to represent the University in British Universities and Colleges Sports (BUCS) competitions. The scheme is open to all students, irrespective of nationality or course. Scholarships are awarded annually and applications are welcomed by students in any year of study. Focus is given to sports within the BUCS programme and Olympic and Paralympic sports, with other sports considered on a case by case basis.

Industrial Bursary Scheme

BEng Engineering Geology & Geotechnics (sandwich) course students.

Application details

All potential Industrial Bursary students should first apply to join the University of Portsmouth Engineering Geology and Geotechnics degree course through UCAS and should then submit a bursary application form before the end of February. You will receive a link to the online application form with your offer e-mail from our admissions team. All offers of an Industrial Bursary are conditional on you joining the undergraduate Engineering Geology and Geotechnics (sandwich) degree at Portsmouth. You may defer entry if taking a gap year.
