I chose Florida to do my research bcoz extensive research was being carried out at FIU in my area of interest. This would be an issue which I would advise all Indian students to consider. Apply to institutions which are engaged in research similar to your background.

Living on campus provides students with more than just a place to live. Residents can take advantage of the many opportunities to get involved in the campus and housing community. There are many programs and activities to attend. The Residential Life staff is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the residence halls. The team of specially trained professionals and student staff are responsible for promoting the personal and academic success of students living in the residence halls. Through services, programs and activities, staff members develop positive communities conducive to student growth and success. The first year residence hall includes Panther Hall (PH) and Lakeview South Hall. The upper-class halls includes Lakeview North Hall , Everglades Hall (EVE), Parkview Hall (PVH), University Towers (TOW), and University Apartments (UA). Panther Hall is predominately for first-year students. Four students live together in two shared bedrooms. Lakeview South Hall is for first-year students. Students live in shared bedrooms or single bedrooms. Lakeview North Hall is predominately second year students. Students live in shared bedrooms or single bedrooms. Everglades Hall is home to students who participate in the Honors College or Global Living Learning Community. Parkview Hall is the newest residence hall on campus. Parkview houses mostly upper-class students. University Towers is predominately for upper-class students. University Apartments are courtyard-style, two-story apartment buildings. The apartments are mainly for upper-class students.
