About the accommodation

The mission of residence life is to make Huntingdon a safe home rather than a place to live, by building a community that is conducive to learning and growing in faith, wisdom, and service. As a freshman, students will live in either Ligon Hall (women) or Searcy Hall (men), each designed to facilitate community as students build life-long friendships and memories. Sophomores, juniors, and seniors may live in Blount Hall in rooms designed in the style of hotels (2 students), suites (4 or 6 students), or clusters (6 students). More independent living is facilitated by sharing a common room, bathroom(s), storage closet, and small kitchenette (refrigerator, microwave, sink, and cupboards) within each room. Resident Assistants focus programming and parties specifically for upperclassman residents. Resident Assistants live on each floor and serve as the caretakers of the residence halls. Each residence hall also has a full-time residence director who oversees the building and works as a member of the student life staff.
