About the accommodation

On-campus living provides an ideal environment in which to transition from home to school. Students have direct access to dining service, tutoring programs, on-site laundry facilities, leadership opportunities and more. The Derby Community is the largest residence hall/dining center unit on campus. Each hall in the community is connected to Derby Dining Center by an enclosed hallway. The community is home to The Bakery in Derby Dining Center and Quik Cats convenience store in Moore Hall. The Kramer Community is located on the west side of campus across the street from Lafene Health Center. Students living in the community eat at Kramer Dining Center, which includes its own Quik Cats convenience store. The Strong Community is a trio of halls that is home to more than 550 students. Students in this community have access to study areas, computer labs, a billiards room, TV rooms, several lounge areas and a basketball court. The derby community halls are Ford Hall, Haymaker Hall, Moore Hall, and West Hall. The Kramer community halls are Goodnow Hall and Marlatt Hall. The strong community halls are Boyd Hall, Putnam Hall, and Van Zile Hall. Jardine Apartments is a safe, comfortable and affordable "home away from home" for more than 1,500 residents from about 50 different countries. Residents of Jardine are undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students, as well as single students, married couples and families.
