Based out of Burlington, Vermont, The University of Vermont, or UVM, was established in 1791 and considered to be the fifth oldest university in New England after Harvard, Yale, Dartmouth and Brown. It is home to 10,081 undergraduates, 1,360 graduate students, 457 medical students and 1,556 full- and part-time faculty. The University is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and offers 100 majors in 7 undergraduate schools and colleges and 50 masters programmes. About the accommodation

UVM's residence halls house approximately 5,500 students on four residential campuses and Apartments: Athletic Campus, Central Campus, North Campus, and Redstone Campus. In addition to traditional residence halls, ResLife’s Apartments and Family Housing (AFH) offers 120 apartments for nontraditional students, graduate students, and students with families. In traditional residence halls the rooms may be doubles, suites, triples and, occasionally, singles. Telephones, cable and computer network hookups are standard equipment, along with beds, dressers and/or stand-up closets. Students will find study areas, kitchen facilities and recreation lounges just steps away.
