Experience based on the year 2002: Selection is based on GRE scores and undergraduate performance/institution. The Electrical Engineering Dept is well maintained with courses and curriculum covering all aspects of Electrical, Electronics, Communication, Telecom and Micro-electronics fields of study. Campus facility is well rounded offering enough chances for students to pursue their extra-curricular activities, on-campus jobs, etc. Both on-campus and off-campus accommodations are available, with off-campus being the more economical one. Safety is not a major concern. City life is good with an active Indian community present in the Houston Area. Houston ranks very low in the cost of living among ¿big¿ cities and hence it proves to be very advantageous for students. show less
