About the accommodation

In the heart of campus are 13 residence halls perfect for incoming students, and upper-class residents. University Place offers fully furnished apartment-style units with a kitchen and living room for four students. Student must have 30 plus post-high school credits to be eligible for this building and may sign up for a 9 or 12 month contract. Stomping Grounds coffee shop is located on the main level. Upper-class students enjoy the great location of UND apartments. Reasonable rental rates and flexible lease terms fit students' housing needs. Eligibility varies for each building. The mission of the Housing and Dining Services Department is to enhance the university experience by providing exceptional housing and dining services and programs. Living on campus allows students to grow academically, meet new friends and take advantage of the opportunity to make the most of their college experience. Individuals who live in the UND residence halls have higher GPAs than off campus students, enjoy many conveniences, and become active in the positive development of their community. The residence halls includes: West, Walsh, Squires, Smith, Selke, Noren, McVey, Johnstone, Fulton, Brannon, and Bek. All student rooms are furnished with a bed frame and mattress, dresser, desk, chair, window coverings, recycling bin (one per room) and wastebasket for each resident. Rooms are furnished with an extra-long twin bed with mattress (size 36" X 80"), bed frame that elevates to loft height if desired, dresser, desk, chair, window coverings, wastebasket and recycling bin (one recycling bin per room) for each resident. Students are not allowed to bring: rubber or foam backed carpeting; microwaves (a microwave is located on each floor of each hall); extension cords; open flame devices; candles - not even for decoration; pets (excluding fish); parachutes and fishnets; toasters; hot pots; and firearms.
