About the accommodation

The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) students has several excellent choices when selecting on-campus housing options. UTSA's next two communities are Chaparral Village and Laurel Village. These two complexes offer apartment-style living with a choice of either a two or four bedroom suites which includes a kitchenette, shared living space and a semi-private bathroom in each unit. These three complexes are owned and operated by UTSA and residents are required to purchase meal plans, which can be used at the Roadrunner Café conveniently located near Chaparral Village, and Laurel Village, and Alvarez Hall. Campus Living Villages (CLV), a privately owned company, owns and operates both Chisholm Hall and University Oaks pursuant to a long-term, ground lease with the University. A student choosing one of these options is contracting with a private company (CLV), as opposed to the University. Chisholm Hall is a traditional style residence hall in which two students share a double occupancy room with an attached private bath. University Oaks is a large apartment complex with a variety of floor plans, all of which have full kitchens (including stove/oven). Although Chisholm Hall is conveniently located near the Road Runner Cafe, residents of these two on-campus housing options are not required to purchase a meal plan. Very near to the academic corridor, Chaparral Village and Laurel Village, offer students an outdoor swimming pool, a basketball court, and plenty of outdoor space to enjoy the sun. All units have carpeting in the living room and bedrooms. The kitchen and bathroom are tiled. Smoking is prohibited in all residential buildings.
