VALUE

Two annual scholarships of up to AUD $2,500 each will be available to students in Semester 1. This is awarded to support the students’ skill development, travel, living and other study related tools, resources or/and equipment expenses.

ELIGIBILITY

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

  • Be enrolled or intending to enrol full time or in an apprenticeship in any Commercial Cookery course at William Angliss Institute (Sydney campus).
  • Fall into one of two categories;

Merit

Demonstrate academic excellence via results achieved during previous and current studies

Equity

Demonstrate financial and/or educational disadvantage. Include evidence that you;

  • have a disadvantaged financial background; or
  • are from a rural area or under-represented school
  • are an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait islander; or
  • have disability, long-term medical illness or mental health condition or
  • experience difficult circumstances

SELECTION

This scholarship is offered to all eligible applicants on the basis of Merit and/or Equity as indicated on this page.

OUTCOME

All applicants will be informed about the outcome within 6 weeks of the closing date.

Hostplus Indigenous Scholarship (VIC)

Eligibility requirements

VALUE

One annual scholarship of up to $2,500 (AUD) will be available to a student in Semester 1. This is awarded to support skill development, travel, living and other study related tools, resources or/and equipment.

ELIGIBILITY

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident or hold a permanent Humanitarian Visa.
Be enrolled or intending to enrol full time in any Certificate III, Certificate IV, Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Bachelor Degree course in any study area at William Angliss Institute (Melbourne campus).

SELECTION

This scholarship is offered to all eligible applicants on the basis of Merit and/or Equity as indicated on this page.

The Nestle Golden Chefs Hat Scholarship was established in recognition of Nestlé Professionals’ ongoing commitment to developing future leaders in the foodservices industry. The scholarship is awarded to domestic or international VET students (commencing or continuing) in the Commercial Cookery area.

Phyllis Budd Scholarship (VIC)

Eligibility requirements

BENEFITS

One annual scholarship to the value of AUD $4,000 will be available to Apprentices or Trainees who are undertaking studies within Foods area. This is awarded to support travel, living and other study related tools, resources or/and equipment as well interstate or overseas travel.

ELIGIBILITY

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

  • Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident or hold a permanent Humanitarian Visa;
  • Be enrolled or intending to enrol in an apprenticeship or traineeship program including Certificate III in Meat Processing, Certificate III or IV in Patisserie, Certificate III in Retail Baking or Certificate III Commercial Cookery Apprenticeship at William Angliss Institute Melbourne Campus.
  • Demonstrate financial and/or educational disadvantage. Include evidence that you;
  1. have a disadvantaged financial background; or
  2. are from a rural area or under-represented school
  3. are an Aboriginal & Torres Strait islander; or
  4. have disability, long-term medical illness or mental health condition or
  5. experience difficult circumstances
