I had given up a career to pursue full time study and after browsing institutions settled on box hill as it was convenient in location. It has been a negative experience overall. Be prepared to become surrounded by rude staff, administration that don't know their head from their tail, teenage culture that is obnoxious, toxic and quite frankly depressing to be around every day. Be prepared to be surrounded by students Facebooking in class, students on mobile phones in class taking zero interest in what the teacher has to say, and a general feeling of time waste. The institution has a one size fits all approach in dealing with students here and if you are in your mid 20's onwards be prepared to be spoken to like the other teenagers. If you are in your mid twenties + DO NOT study here during the day, opt for night class or off campus. Avoid the unnecessary anxiety and stress of being in a teenage environment coupled with laughably rude administration and staff. A positive i can point out is that the library and bookstore staff are eager to help and very customer focused. I have studied off campus, night school and day class at box hill. Off campus and night class were efficient and stress free ....... Day class? Stay away. I can only be honest and tell it how it is to save others possible grief. show less
