Course summary
This course is designed to prepare students with the skills to work in the accounting industry. The course may lead to work in a variety of accounting related functions under the control of a supervising accountant including the areas of tax, auditing, business performance and management accounting. Students will gain skills in accounting procedures to either assist senior accountants or undertake duties requiring the services of a professional accountant. The course is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of those already in assistant accounting positions; give an overview of accounting, sampling both the public practice and costing areas, and assist in small business operations. On successful completion of the course they will be awarded the Advanced Diploma of Accounting.
Entry requirement for international students
Students must have successfully completed the Australian year 12 or equivalent in their country. They must also have achieved a minimum of either IELTS score of 5.5 (academic) (no band score less than 5.0) or TOEFL paper based score of 530 (minimum TWE 3.5) or TOEFL computer based score of 197 (minimum TWE 3.5) or TOEFL internet based score of 71 (minimum 17 in all sections).
