Course summary
This course introduces to marketing concepts, market segmentation and consumer behaviour while developing an understanding of law, networking, financial management and communications. Specialised areas of study include marketing management, strategic marketing, market research and advertising strategy. Graduates can find career as a Marketing officer, marketing research officer and management positions in these areas. Further studies may also be undertaken at degree or higher level. Students are generally required to complete the Certificate IV in Marketing and the Diploma of Marketing prior to commencement of the Advanced Diploma of Marketing.
Entry requirement for international students
Applicants must have a satisfactory completion of the Swinburne English for Academic Purposes Advanced level certificate at the pathways level (EAP 5: Pathways -60%) or, obtaining a minimum IELTS overall band of 5.5 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 5.0; or a TOEFL (Paper-based) minimum score of 527 (with a Test of Written English (TWE) score of 4.5); or TOEFL (Computer-based) minimum score of 196 (with Written Writing score of 4.5); or TOEFL (Internet-based) minimum score of 71 with no band less than 18.
