Course summary
This course produces performers and writers for the commercial music industry. This VET course is offered by WAAPA as a Registered Training Organisation under the Australian Quality Training Framework. The Units of Competence from the nationally accredited Music (CUS01) Industry Training Package are clustered within the course delivery units. Successful students may audition for other courses within the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts.
Entry requirement for international students
Students should hold a Certificate IV in Music or equivalent qualification/experience in a relevant stream of study and pass a competitive audition/interview. They must satisfy IELTS overall band score of 6.0 (no individual band less than 6), TOEFL minimum score of 550 including TWE score of 5 (or a Computer based TOEFL score of 213 with an essay rating of 5 or better), TOEFL iBT score of 80 with no score below 20, GCE O Levels grade C or better, WAUFP 50 percent plus pass in ELACS, TEE pass in English or English Literature, International Baccalaureate Diploma minimum Grade 3 at higher level for an English subject and other acceptable qualifications can be obtained from ECU International. There are different entry requirement for various countries.
