This campus is located within the Atari Building in Queens Road, the birthplace of the Melbourne games industry. The relationships which have been developed and fostered over the years between the games industry and AIE provide students with many opportunities to engage with the industry for which they are studying. Courses at AIE Melbourne are guided and taught by experienced staff who have worked extensively in the Computer Game Development and Screen Animation fields, both in Australia and globally.

Venue description

This campus is located in Watson, a leafy suburb just to the north of the city centre. AIE Canberra, the first AIE campus, was established in 1996 in response to a demand for 3D games artists and programmers. The industry experienced teachers have guided students through the courses to employment at every major games and 3D animation studio in Australia as well as a number of internationally renowned companies. The provision of campus noticeboards and online forums allow students and organisations to promote positions vacant, accommodation vacancies and industry events and functions. In their spare time, AIE Canberra students can also make use of the numerous games and pinball machines, TV facilities, XBOX 360, Play station 2, sporting facilities and on site library.
