Course summary
This program aims to prepare students for a professional career in engineering in the disciplines of Civil, Electrical and Information Engineering, Mechanical and Materials Engineering. The program provides a pathway to all Bachelor of Engineering programs and specialisations offered at UniSA. The program aims to prepare students for a professional career in information technology engineering with particular emphasis on the areas specified within each stream name.
Entry requirement for international students
Students are required to have: completed the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE); and completed 200 credits of subjects; achieved a grade of C or better in the Personal Learning Plan, 20 credits of literacy, 10 credits of numeracy and the Research Project at Stage 2; achieved a grade C- or better in an additional 60 credits at Stage 2; obtained a competitive ATAR. For Stage 2 subjects a grade of C- or better is required or successfully completed the ATN Engineering aptitude test. Students should have achieved SACE Stage 1 passes, or an equivalent TAFE or other approved qualification, in Mathematics and one Science course. Alternatively, the minimum educational requirements may be met by those who have fulfilled prerequisite requirements; completed the equivalent secondary education qualifications as required for University entry under SACE; completed the equivalent secondary education qualifications as required for University entry under SACE; completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma; completed or partly completed a recognised higher education program at a recognised higher education institution; completed at least four Open Universities Australia (OUA) courses at the appropriate level; completed an award from TAFE or from another registered training organisation at AQF Certificate IV level or above; qualified for Special Entry. International students must have an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic: Overall 6.0 (with 6.0 in Reading and Writing) obtained within the last two years. Students are required to meet at least one of the English language entry requirements listed. IELTS 6.0, TOEFL PBT 550 with TWE of 4.5, TOEFL iBT 80 with no band less than 20, Cambridge CPE C, Cambridge CAE 52 (no less than Borderline in RW), CELUSA AE4, Pearson PTE Academic Bands below as per the Pearson equivalency table 59 with no communicative score less than 53.
