Course summary
In this course students will learn about Pharmaceutical science, it is the science and business of developing new medicines. Specific aspects of the degree include: drug discovery, toxicity and safet, clinical trials, drug regulations, the ethics associated with the approval of drugs and medical communication of therapeutic products (sales and marketing). On completion of this course students will have excellent employment prospects in a pharmaceutical companies, clinical trial centres, government regulatory authorities, the biotechnology sector, biomedical research in hospitals, universities and research institutes.
Entry requirement for international students
Students must have Year 12 equivalent with a minimum average of 65 percentage. They must also have a minimum IELTS (Academic) overall band 6.5 with no individual band below 6.0; or TOEFL (Paper-based) minimum 580 with Test of Written English (TWE) no less than 4.5; or TOEFL (IBT) minimum overall score of 92 with a minimum of 20 in all sections; or Successful completion of REW Advanced Plus program.
