Course summary

This course prepares students for an increasing range of careers that involve the application of information technology to science. It gives them the ability to use creative as well as analytical methods to solve scientific problems. Studying this double degree allows them to develop the technical skills required for their relevant field of study in applied science. Graduates may find roles where they can use their information technology skills within the science discipline. Areas include sensor networks, complex system and scientific modelling, and e-science. As a graduate, they can expect to work in roles such as a scientific modeller, engineering software developer, scientific programmer, and computational scientist.

Entry requirement for international students

Students should have completed Year 12 or equivalent; Primary Fields: B or C; Secondary Fields: B or C. They must also satisfy English language requirements, IELTS overall band score of 6.5 with no sub-band below 6.0; or TOEFL score of 90 with at least 20 in all bands (Internet Based).
