Course summary
This course offers focused theatre study, allowing students to develop skills and gain the techniques needed to become a professional actor. Classes are conducted by respected artists and teachers, ensuring that the perspective they gain as an emerging performer is relevant, rigorous and contemporary. The course is underpinned by a philosophy of blending practice with theory, and incorporates workshops, rehearsal and research. Subjects include; Voice, Dance, Acting (for theatre and film), Performance Studio and Critical Studies.
Entry requirement for international students
Students must have satisfactory completion of VCE (or equivalent) with minimum ATAR requirements or Mature Age entry. They must have overall band score of 6.0, with no individual sub-score less than 5.5 in IELTS and a TOFEL score of 550, including the Test of Written English (TWE) or A score of 213 in the computer based test or a minimum score of 79 in the internet based test (with scores not less than 20 in writing and speaking and 18 in reading and listening)
