Course summary
This course is strongly cross-disciplinary and enables students to combine criminology with other fields of study such as sociology, political science, law, psychology, history and philosophy. Students undertaking a major in criminology at UQ become highly trained in social research methods and critical thinking and learn to examine crime and its regulation within the context of social, economic and political shifts in contemporary society.
Entry requirement for international students
Students must have completed Year 12 or equivalent English. They should also satisfy the English language requirements: IELTS (overall score of 6.5; writing score of 6); TOEFL - (Computer based score of 237; Essay writing score of 4.5); TOEFL - (Paper based score of 570; TWE (Test of written English) score of 5); TOEFL - (Internet Based (IBT) overall score of 90; writing score of 21).
