Course summary

This major will enable students to engage with other design professionals in producing work for commercial purposes. It may bring them in future contact with authors, medical writers, forensic investigators and scientists. They will also be given the opportunity to complete professional practice in advertising, graphic design, publishing, game design, or educational and instruction design areas. Students can study this as part of a double major with Creative Advertising and Graphic Design and Digital Design. The various career opportunities are teacher - art, artist, photographer, graphic designer, illustrator, visual merchandiser, photographic processor, gaming worker, arts administrator, body artist, graphic novelist, comic book author, photojournalist, fashion photographer, portrait photographer and event photographer.

Entry requirement for international students

Students are required to submit a portfolio. They must also satisfy the English language requirements such as IELTS academic (International English Language Testing System) Writing score of 6.0, Speaking score of 6.0, Reading score of 6.0, Listening score of 6.0, Overall band score of 6.0 and TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) paper based score of 550, Internet based (20 in each section) score of 80 and CUTE (Curtin Uni Test of English) - C.
